[/b] For the most part, this will be controlled by activity checks, which will be explained when the time comes and there will be a mass email sent out to make everyone aware of an activity check.
new and/or edited rules are in green
001. No godmolding or powerplaying. No godmolding basically means, no cat can be perfect, all powerful and incapable of injury or death. Powerplaying is taking control of someone else's character. If either is spotted, there will be a warning. A second offense will earn a three day ban. A third offense will result in a permanent ban.
002. This is an intermediate to advanced site. As such, it is required that all in character posts be a minimum of 100 words. For higher positions(leader, deputy, medicine cat), 150 words is the post minimum. Also, as this is a literate site, please use the spell-check if you are unsure and use the best grammar you can. Mistakes are understandable, but they shouldn't be everywhere. If you must, use a word processor like Microsoft Word. It won't always be right, but it can still help for the most part. This means no chat speak. Lol, brb, and similar acronyms are acceptable in the cbox only.
003. Only two high ranking characters are allowed per member and only one character that is crucial to the site plot (ie: a prophecy cat). Prophecy cats do not count as high ranking cats, which means you could have, for example, two leaders and a prophecy cat. If the prophecy cat is in a high position, then they do not count as a high position cat as they would be there no matter who played them. In other words, if you play a prophecy cat who is a medicine cat apprentice, you may still play two high ranking characters. This may or may not be changed so double check this rule often. If, while roleplaying, one of your characters ends up becoming the deputy or medicine cat, and you already have a character in a higher position, please message a staff member. These cases will be handled depending on the specifics and the outcome will be different every time.
004. Please respect each other. No one enjoys being in a place where others are fighting. If something happens to cause friction between you and another member, please take it to a staff member. The staff is here to try and keep things flowing smoothly, and as such, they will attempt to help ease the tension to the best of their ability. If they are making it worse take it to Hazel immediately. It shouldn't get this far, but if it does, you have steps to take to hopefully make it go away.
005. Swearing is to be kept to a minimum, though some swearing on occasion is just fine. Keep in mind, the cats would use insults like fox dung and crow-food more than the insults you might use.
006. One account per person. On this account, you may have as many characters as you like, provided they are all kept active. If you have a high ranking character or a prophecy cat, you must log on once a week and you must post in character at least once every two weeks. If you do not, you will have your high ranking characters demoted and your prophecy cat taken away from you.
007. Please check the names list before making your character. No doubles will be allowed. Doubles, in this case, mean having two cats named Shadepelt. Having one cat named Shadepaw and one named Shadepelt is fine, provided Shadepaw does not get named Shadepelt at his/her warrior ceremony. Please avoid using the same root name as a leader out of respect.
008. All applications that are posted as WIPs that are not completed in a week will be deleted. Ranking and important plot characters must be finished in five days. If you do not have a place to store it, like a word processor file, please message Hazel and she will set up a board for you on another site where you can store your unfinished characters.
009. Accounts must be kept active.
b. Any account that has no posts at all after a week will be deleted. Simple as that.
c. Any account that posts an application, complete or incomplete, will be on a probationary period of sorts. After you post in character once, your account will be safe except during activity checks. You have until one week after your application is accepted to post in character. If you do not, your account will be deleted and your application moved to archives for in case you return. You will be sent a message giving you five days notice of your account deletion. An email will be sent to you three days in advance if you do not respond to the message on site.
d. If your WIP application gets deleted due to staying unfinished for a full week, you have one more week after that to post either another WIP application or a complete application before your account is deleted. You will be sent a message giving you five days notice of your account deletion. An email will be sent to you three days in advance if you do not respond to the message on site.[/ul]
