APPEARANCE...Dawnfrost is a short haired ruddy cinnamon silver she-cat. Some cats, such as Dawnfrost , have a silver under pelt with another color on top. The bottoms of the hair is a silver grey then working your way up the strand of hair it's the cat's regular color. This gives a glow to her appearance. A lighter golden yellow starts underneath her chin and continues to her chest and underbelly. It can also be found on the insides of her legs and underpaw. The fur on the bones of her tail and her spine are a darker black brown with a blue-ish glow to it. The line also creeps up her neck to her skull and makes an ‘M’ shape on her forehead like tabby markings. Her claws are definitely a distinguishing feature of hers. They’re jet black and stable enough to rip tree bark. Dawnfrost’s tail is long like a snake, which helps her with her balance.
Dawnfrost is a petite she-cat, her build is smaller than most other she-cats, but also bigger than some. She really despises being so small, but it has helped her in the past and will surely help her in the future. In general, she may look fragile, but don’t let that fool you. She has gained muscle with her running and her little paws pack a powerful punch.
Her eyes are a golden topaz, that appear yellow green in certain lighting and weather. They flash with superiority and confidence. Yet again, another feature that singles her out from others is the lengthy, almost invisible scar on her side. The fur has started to grow over it, but you can still see a huge difference.
PERSONALITY...A trait that Dawnfrost has that most other cats don’t is optimism. She always sees the bright side of things even if there’s no hope left for anyone at all. She’s also very observant and likes to take in her surroundings, thus you often find her gazing into the distance at times. She’ll even take the time to memorize another cat’s pelt pattern if she has nothing else to do. Being curious, Dawnfrost is always sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong, but on occasions she’ll let things slip; she likes trying to figure things out on her own. Her mentor, Adderfang, taught her to be courageous and self-sacrificial. Dawnfrost is also a very decisive cat. When she makes a decision she can make them quickly with confidence. She can watch and hear what needs to be done even if watching is harder than doing. Even in the worst predicament, she can be calm, if she’s panicking she doesn’t let anyone see.
Dawnfrost can be deceiving at times, which leads to some cats being unable to trust her loyalty to her Clan. Dawnfrost also assumes things rather too easily and at times she is quite paranoid. She is pretty ambitious and thrives for the competition, she always has to be the best. She's very judgmental on appearances and will jump to conclusions easily. Her fuse is also very short and can easily be manipulated. A major flaw that Dawnfrost has is that she always thinks too highly of herself. It’s almost an obsession. She sees others as subordinates to her.
Like many other cats, Dawnfrost has her fears. She is frightened by loud sounds, like trees falling and thunder. Obviously, she’s scared of her Clan dying or weakening and will do anything to make sure that it doesn’t happen. Lastly, she’s afraid of death itself and will do whatever it takes to evade it. A quirk about Dawnfrost is that she likes some bloodshed, and actually enjoys fighting. She values ShadeClan’s territory, her senses, and bravery.
HISTORY...Dawnfrost was born to Poppyflower and Reedtail. One of her brothers was a still born and her other brother, Breezekit was born healthy. Poppyflower died during the Newleaf Dawnfrost and Breezekit would become warriors. She drowned during one of the great floods of the river while on patrol. Dawnfrost and Breezekit became apprentices, their father, Reedtail, always supported them and never let their mother's death effect their training.
Dawnfrost was appointed to Adderfang, a loyal and strong, yet harsh young warrior. He trained Dawnfrost to be brave and put aside her own needs for her Clan's. Her mentor convinced her that everything she did would either directly or indirectly effect the Clan and to be self-less. Dawnfrost listened to him and obeyed him like a good apprentice should. She began to laugh danger in the face and dive right into it, later, it proved to make her stronger in some ways and weaker in others. She was helping the medicine cat collect herbs for the long Leafbare ahead when a fox came rampaging through the moors. It was headed straight towards them. It attacked the medicine cat and wounded her. Despite warnings from her Clanmate, Dawnfrost pushed aside her fear and attacked the fox with such determination and will-power she couldn't bring herself to a stop. ShadeClan warriors came to their aid and helped Dawnfrost defeat it. She enjoyed the adrenaline rush and the feeling of ripping into another being's flesh. After the fight, her Clanmates looked at her differently. Some respected her while others were more or less frightened of what she was becoming.
Dawnpaw was named Dawnfrost because of her strength and power. She was respected and known for her ambitious yet loyal personality among the Clans. ----star chose her to be his successor because they had been inseparable as apprentices. Their tight friendship is probably what gained her the position of deputy. But, cats think otherwise. Most think it was because she had age and a strong personality on her side. Dawnfrost was then made Dawnstar when her Leader lost all of his lives. She's been trying to figure out who the kit from the prophecy is ever since she found out about it.
